Hay Fever—it may sound scary because of the name, but it’s actually very common. How common? There are reportedly more than 3 million cases in the US per year. If you have never heard of it though, you may be wondering how it’s so common. It is defined as “an allergy caused by pollen or dust in which the mucous membranes of the eyes and nose are itchy and inflamed, causing a runny nose and watery eyes.” Probably sounds familiar to many of you reading this, doesn’t it? Simply put, this is another term for the allergies that you may have been dealing with for the past season… or longer. It can lead to congestion and annoying sinus pressure, so if you have it, you are definitely looking for a way to get rid of it.
Memorial Day is now behind us, which is what many people have come to look at as the unofficial start to summer (among other things, of course).
